GOVERNOR KIRAITU COMMISSIONS HIGH MAST FLOODLIGHTING IN ONGOING DRIVE TO TRANSFORM THE COUNTY INTO A 24 HOUR ECONOMY

The Governor of Meru County, H.E. Kiraitu Murungi has this morning commissioned a high mast floodlight at Nkubu town which will help create a 24-hour economy and boost security in the area.

Similar projects to light up towns and enhance modernization and economic development are ongoing across other towns in the County including Meru town, Nchiru, Maua and Laare among others, under a partnership program between the County Government and Rural Electrification and Renewable Energy Corporation.
With the proposed BBI constitutional amendment, Governor Kiraitu has pledged such and many more projects aimed at transforming the lives of Meru people, since it advocates for more resources to the Counties from the national government.
BBI also proposes addition of two more constituencies in Meru which will enhance devolution.
