Governor Kiraitu has stated his development agenda will not be distracted by any amount of political noise. The governor who spoke in a development tour of Gatimbi and Kariene in Abothuguchi Central Ward, Central Imenti, said he sort the opportunity to work for all the people of Meru, and not for titles. He asked for ample time to enable him deliver on his promises. He however cautioned people against falling into the political thugery being sparked by a few self-centered individuals. As echoed by DG, Titus Ntuchiu, he noted to be working with MCAs and Ward Development Committees and in case of an eventuality, the Subcounty admin will supervise the projects being implemented in the wards. Area MP. Kirima Ngucine thanked the governor for his devotedness and interventions in securing a 10 acre land for establishing Mariara University in the region, besides close working relations with the national leadership that has spured up the County's development. The governor opened Gatimbi entrance and loop roads upgraded to paved standards. He also pledged to address some key challenges the two markets have including paving, water supply, lighting and planning inorder to improve business environment.
