Governor Kiraitu Murungi has disbursed 71million for the construction of classrooms and Vocational Institutions workshops' with 141million worth of cheques for Retention Enhancement fund for the vocational institutions.

According to the Governor his administration has already constructed 113 classrooms since 2017 and would construct 125 more with the fund to total 238 ECDE classes .

The cost of construction of each class would be ksh. 750,000 each, a reduction by about half from 1.2 million in the previous regime.

So far, over Ksh. 423 million shillings has also been released in form of bursaries benefiting over 178,651 students since the year 2017.
