CECM Water and Irrigation and the Chief officer incharge Jackson Muthamia who were on site visit to some of the success water distribution projects in kiani kiraja and Laikumkum boreholes noted each borehole had a capacity to serve over 360 homesteads with proper community based management to ensure sustainability.
Kangeta MCA Romano Mwito said any attempts to remove ownership of the borehole projects from the community would be opposed.
"After the county government constructed the boreholes , they were handed over to the community because they know the most effective way to distribute the water to each household " said Mr Mwito.
