Groups of Meru County farmers have attended a training under National Agricultural and Rural Inclunsivity Growth Project (NARIGP) which hopes to promote Avocado, Irish Potato, Macadamia and Banana value chain addition at the reknowned Wambugu farm in Nyeri to enable them adopt best agricultural and value chain practices .

"Through sufficient training of our farmers we will ensure they have correct agricultural information hence more productivity" said Carol Mutiga , CECM Agriculture.

Madam Carol also noted, over 290 groups had benefitted from microprojects under NARIGP, making Meru one of the best counties in prudent utilization of the fund.

Dionisia M'Eruaki, Agricultures' Chief officer , noted value addition of our agricultural products was the right path to add more money in farmers pockets.
