Kiraitu Calls For A United Meru As Prerequisite To Responsible Leadership.

Meru Governor once again stressed that leaders must take their time to uplift lives of people.
Kitaitu who spoke in his last tribute to Miraa Taskforce Report Implementation Committee Chair, David Ntawa (Blackie) at Thamare Methodist Church, promised to unite Meru to fight against economic backwardness, through diversified sources of incomes in honour of Blackie.
At the same time, he said Blackie's indomitable fight for the revamping of Miraa industry, as the founder and chair of Kenya Miraa Farmers & Traders Association, was worth emulating. He pointed out it was this tireless effort that led to his appointment as Chair of the Taskforce Report Implementation Committee by President Kenyatta.
According to the sentiments of the Taskforce Chair, Kello Harsama, construction of Muringene Ultra-modern Miraa market will soon start when the downpour subsides, with more sheds set to be established.
In a parallel event at Mbayo Village, Akirangondu Ward, the governor mourned the demise of Daniel Makanda, the father-in-law to Jubilee Secretary General, Meru Chapter, Alhaji Mwendia.
