County government of Meru has graduated the second 600 cohorts of Meru Youth Service Men & Women.

Governor Kiraitu who presided over the passout ceremony at the MYS Igoji training Center today, said the youth will join the County Vocational Training Centers early next year for short technical skill courses.

Already, admission letters according to the CEC incharge Miriti Koome, will be ready before christmas.

The Governor said education has been the biggest burden for youth in the country and Africa, and this is why he chose to empower youth, making them agents of change in the society.

Deputy Governor Ntuchiu, called for increased partnerships in the program, lauding the KCB Foundation for immense support it offered last year. He asked the department to make follow-up on the youth for impact analysis.

The 600 have been mentored through a two- week training on attitude and behaviour change.
