COUNTY LEADERSHIP TO PRESS FOR INCREASED REVENUE ALLOCATION, SAYS CHIEF OF STAFF.

Chief of Staff of Meru County Hon. Gideon Kimathi has today reiterated that the County leadership is unanimous in the resolve to negotiate for the best terms in the upcoming BBI report. Kimathi has maintained that for Meru to realize robust development, BBI must address increment of revenue allocation to Counties.
Hon. Kimathi further advised parents of the learners whose KCPE results were recently released to take their post primary education seriously, noting that quality education and training will help address the prevailing youth challenges, and is also part of national government’s 100% transition rate target for basic education.
His sentiments were echoed by Mitunguu Ward MCA. Hon. Evans Mawira Kaaria who said that increased revenue to Counties will see higher allocation to the Wards and hence more development reaching Mwananchi at the grassroots. The two leaders spoke during a Sunday service at Kaguru Catholic Church in South Imenti. Also in attendance was James Kimathi Mugambi who works with the National Treasury.
