Mrs. Lucy Ntuchiu, the spouse to Meru deputy governor Titus Ntuchiu has led the "Great 8 Ladies" association in a drive to distribute food staff, clothing and other household materials to the less fortunate and vulnerable children from Mbeu, Kianjai, Miathene and Twale in Tigania West.
The group is an association of rural schools alumni, friends and co-promoters of Lucy's community based empowerment programs that started last year targeting highschool and primary school learners, their parent, women groups as well as the vulnerable population in all subcounties.
Over 300 vulnerable children to whom the materials were given today are under the 'Gutethia Kurera Kaana' orphanage which she is the patron, and which started in 2005 under stewardship of Pst. Stephen Munjuri, End Time Restoration Church, Kianjai.
Four class 8 leavers were spotted for support through highschool education.
