Kiraitus Ploy To Uplift Small Scale Traders.
Governor Kiraitu has stressed on the implementation of his 5 year plan for upgrading towns across the county, to uplift small scale traders.
He cited the construction of Modern Kiosks aimed to enhance the growth of small scale traders, paving of Gakoromone market during last financial year and ongoing construction of Makutano fresh produce market as part of the plan.
Kiraitu who was flanked by his deputy, Titus Ntuchiu when he issued letters of allotment to successful occupants of County Modern Kiosks, added more Kiosks and floodlights would be factored in the subsequent budgets, as paving of areas stretching from River Land, Standard bank, Mosque road and back to Gakoromone are earmarked for phase two.
Kiosks occupants have been asked to take care of the kiosks and cleanliness of business premise in line with Governor’s 'My Town, My Business Mantra'
