CEC Education, Gender and social Development, linner kailanya has urged People living with disability (PWDs) to utilize the PWDs Sacco that the county had started for them to start small businesses.The CEC spoke this during food distribution drive for people living with disability in Kandebene, Tigania East.

According to Ms Kailanya, the Governor had formed a disability board to ensure all issues concerning them are catered in accessing government opportunities and services

"PWDs are integral part of Making Meru great we will consider them during employment and ensure protection from people who may take advantage of their situation" said Ms Kailanya.

Leader of Majority , Victor Karithi thanked the government for taking care for the most vulnerable in the society.He noted through wardfund , as Athwana MCA he would dedicate some portion for the people with disability

In attendance was PWDs Board member Daniel Mwangangi.
