Governor Out To Promote Inclusive Governance For Communal Growth.

Governor Kiraitu Murungi is committed to replicate the same model of development which transformed South Imenti during his tenure as MP, and made it the top developed Sub County in Meru.

In a message delivered on his behalf to residents of Kanyakine by Chief of Staff Gideon Kimathi, during the funeral ceremony of Bridget Gakiiru Josses, who was the mother-in-law to Meru Kenya National Union of Teachers ( KNUT) Branch Executive Secretary, Caxton Miungi, the Governor said that allocation of Sh20 Million to every Ward per year, will ensure that development is permeated to every corner of the County.

Area MCA Hon. Mwirigi Karinga said he is working closely with Governor Kiraitu to ensure the development agenda in the area remains on course. He mourned late Bridget as a wonderful and wise mother whose great counsel and generosity will greatly be missed.

Speaking at the ceremony, Alhaji Mwendia who is also Jubilee Secretary General in Meru, challenged those who are attacking Governor Kiraitu’s development, to first show what they have done to their people in their own home areas to uplift lives, over the period they have been leaders.

Late Bridget was eulogized as passionate, prayerful, committed servant of the community and a model mother, whom many will strive to emulate.
