Meru County Twaweza program spearheaded by first lady Priscilla Muriung is rooting for women’s economic empowerment, one of governor’s development pillars.

As emphasized by Social Development CO, Florah Nyaga who officiated a training for 90 women group leaders for Buuri and Imenti North Subcounties at Kinoru Youth Resource Center, economic empowerment has been the core objective of the training rolled out on Tuesday 5th 2019, for the county women group leaders.

These forms part of the groups set to benefit from about Ksh. 10 million seed capital for enhancing women’s social mobility, through table banking.

Women from the two Subcounties adds to the list of trained leaders after Tigania East, West and Central leaders underwent a similar training on Tuesday this week.
