While welcoming the team, Governor Kiraitu thanked them for throwing support behind his leadership, saying that the unity will go along way in cementing the position of Meru County as an integral part of Kenya. The Governor also issued caution to all proponents of various drives to amend the constitution, saying the counties will vote down any proposals that do not focus on bringing more money to the devolved governmnets.
