Water & Irrigation Department starts routine inspection of phase two 50 community boreholes sunk in dry areas of Meru (2018/19) to establish how they are helping people, 40 of which are complete, with little civil works on the remaining expected to end this week.

According to CO in charge, Haron Kanathi, 50 more boreholes are expected to be sunk during the next financial year, while the department will continue giving technical advice on the operationalization of the boreholes through the management committee.
