Leaders from across the County have praised Governor Kiraitu Murungi’s two year impressive development record.

Speaking at Ntharene PCEA Highway Church in Abogeta East, Imenti South Sub County, MCAs and other leaders noted that for the last two financial years Governor Kiraitu’s development record has largely outweigh what the previous regime delivered in five years.

Led by the area MCA Hon. Mwirigi Karinga, Chief of staff Gideon Kimathi, the leaders said that the introduction of Ward development Fund by Governor Kiraitu administration where each ward gets Sh20 million has helped them to deliver what they promised to the residents.

"In just two years, we have witnessed new roads, water provision through boreholes and massive support for water projects, ECDE classes, Vocational Training Centers, health centers and other transformative developments are way ahead of what previous regime delivered in five years," Hon. Karinga added.

Chief of Staff Kimathi noted that programs such as Meru Youth Service, Free Milk for ECDE learners in public schools, modernization of towns and markets are having a massive positive impact to the common Mwananchi.

On his part, Governor Kiraitu promised to continue with his development agenda across the County to change the lives of the people in line with his promise to Make Meru Great.

The Governor later joined the Rt. Rev. Julius Guantai Mwamba, the Moderator of the General Assembly of the PCEA for the Dedication Ceremony of PCEA Ngirine Parish Kionyo Church.
