CEC Agriculture Carol Mutiga, presided over the closure of a four-day agricultural training for the Meru County young artists, which ended with the formation of a forum for Meru creatives, a CBO that will strengthen outreaches as well as attract various opportunities for nurturing talents.

The CEC who spoke at Embu Agricultural Training Center, said her department is committed to support the youth but urged the parent on the need to nurture children to be all rounded persons in all aspects of life for increased opportunities.

The training which was done through a County and the national government partnership with World Bank, intended to sensitize youth on four select value chain in Macadamia, Potatoes, Bananas and Avocado across 20 Wards.

This comes when Meru governor, Kiraitu Murungi has been rooting for strong groups and cooperative unions, as well as special interest group's SACCOs to help pool resources.The CBO will be chaired by Yudah Mwiti Alias ‘Mayuda' assisted by Eunice Kendi, and Ann Nkirote, Secretary.
