Meru Vision 2040 Undergoes Subcounty Level Public Participation.

After successful collection of views from Meru MCAs, MPs and university students on the Meru Vision 2040 blue print draft spearheaded by the Meru Social and Economic Council chaired by Amb. Francis Muthaura, the draft document will this week undergo a series of Subcounty level public participation forums to add more spice.

The blue print is a journey towards economic transformation of Meru County but concerted effort is required in the implementation. "If you want things to change, you must plan and invest in the execution of the plan" said Amb. Muthaura.

According to the Governor and his deputy, who had a consultative meeting with the MESC team, said the document gives an opportuniy to address Meru County's long-term problems that affect both the common mwananchi and political class. This will ensure all the unexploited social economic and political potentials are exploited for the prosperity and improved living standards of Meru residents.

The document will then be launched in the "Meru We Want Conference" in a months time for the people's ownership and then subjected to a legislation for the County Assembly's adoption.
