Deputy Governor, Titus Ntuchiu has expressed the strain County governments are undergoing while effecting cross-sectoral development projects.

While the County administration has been since 2017 committed to both structural and social development at the grassroots providing water, improving roads, cabro paving of towns and promoting social development, County’s budget has been reducing sequentially from 8.3 billions in 2017/18 to 8 billions in 2018/19 and now there is an attempt to further reduce it to about 7.7 billions in this financial year.

He said the executive and legislators plans to frustrate the devolved units by reducing it’s budget was ill. "County budget allocation has been reducing from 2017/18, 2018/19 with further intentions to reduce 2019/20 financial year’s budget, yet the national budget has increased from 2.5 trillions in 2018/19 to 3.02 trillions in financial year 2019/20" said Ntuchiu.

He said the public focus is on County Governments and therefore urged the legislators and president to show leadership by protecting devolved units. Ntuchiu was speaking when he attended a funeral ceremony in Amwari Village,Tigania West.
