GOVERNOR KIRAITU REVIEWS HIS CAMPAIGN MANIFESTO.

Meru County Governor Kiraitu Murungi has celebrated year 2019 Madaraka Day by carrying out an evaluation of his Manifesto promises from the 2017 election Campaigns, to review the successes achieved from the promises, after 22 months in office. The Governor went through his pledges in a blow by blow manner, where he took the people of Meru through the various levels of success for each of the promises.

H.E. Kiraitu also gave budgetary allocations and total amounts of funds spent so far, in the efforts to achieve each of the Manifesto pledges.

"It is very important that I do this evaluation because some people have alleged that we are doing zero development. We want to be judged on the basis of these promises we made and are written down to you our people, and we are not going to allow political liars and schemers to set any new promises for us," said the Governor.

He has challenged all Politicians who are moving around the County preaching different message from what has already been achieved, to come out clean on the Political seats they want to vie for, instead of cheating Meru residents that his administration is not doing any development. The Governor said that it is important the people of Meru be told the truth about true intentions of politicians as opposed to drama and inaccurate rhetoric.

"I want to advise my fellow politicians to realize that politics is a serious business, and not a circus or a lunatic asylum where mad people make endless noise," he added.

The Madaraka Day Celebrations held at Kinoru Stadium, was officiated by Meru County Commissioner Allan Machari who delivered the Presidential address, and was attended by County Government Ministers and all top County Officials, members of the County Assembly led by the Speaker Kaberia Arimba and Majority leader Mutuma Karithi.
