KIRAITU'S WATER TRANSFORMS EPIDING AND TRACTOR VILLAGES.

Governor Kiraitu has turned the dry Epiding and Tractor Villages into an oasis. The region according to Joseph Lokuniat, a resident, has long since been known for pastoralism, for more than 50 years, with struggle for water.
Francisca Nasieku, tomatoe farmer, lauded the governor for transforming the Special Ward. She said pastoralism has been prone to incidences of cattle rastling, hence diverting to crop production would be a good subsidy.
CEC Water, Dr. Eunice Nkirote, said the department has so far drilled 30 boreholes in phase two, while sinking of more boreholes to add up to the 100 sunk last year is underway.
She encouraged residents to embrace farming for improved sanitation and nutrition. She added this will reduce strife over animal watering points and also act as an alternate source of incomes.
Nkirote spoke while inspecting Governor's Water Flagship projects impact in the region.
