RESIDENTS OF NAATHU, IGEMBE NORTH PLEDGE SUPPORT FOR GOVERNOR KIRAITUS DEVELOPMENT AGENDA.

Naathu Ward residents in Igembe North Sub County have said that they will continue supporting Governor Kiraitu Murungi’s administration in order to continue reaping the fruits of the ongoing development projects in the area. Random speakers from the jubilant and cheerful crowds who turned up at Mutuati Primary School grounds to receive County Chief of Staff Hon. Gideon Kimathi and Naathu MCA Hon. Samuel Mutuura 'Trump', during handover ceremony for football uniforms and balls to teams from the Ward, said that all they want is development and service delivery, and that they are happy with the work Governor Kiraitu Murungi’s Government is doing so far.

Hon. Mutuura outlined the various Sh20 million annual Ward Fund Projects ongoing in the area, as the excited crowd responded in agreement, which include the grading of roads in Nkandone, Mwera o Mutua and Kangari, and the ongoing construction of ECDE classes at Thirua and Mutuati Primary Schools.

The Chief of Staff thanked the residents for committing to support Governor Kiraitu, even as he endeavors to deliver more developments in the area. He noted that besides the Sh20 million Ward Fund, the County Government has already sank several boreholes at Naathu, Inono, Kangari and Mwera o Mutua. He added that the high yielding borehole started by former MP M'Mithiaru at Mutuati, which was interfered with by political interests, will be rehabilitated by the County Government in line with their request to the Governor in order to alleviate the Water Problem in the area.

"We know that some Political opportunists want us in Government to engage them in political rhetoric, but I want to ask you people of Naathu, do you want political noise or development?" paused the Hon. Kimathi, to which the crowd thunderously responded, "DEVELOPMENT!".

The County Government through the Department of Roads, Energy and Infrastructure, has also completed plans to begin installation of floodlights at Mutuati Market, Inono, Nkandone, Liundu, Kithetu and Ndayo.

CEC member for Roads, Infrastructure and Energy, Hon. Julius Taitumu, who was also in attendance, encouraged the residents to shun useless political bickering and ignore political players who are moving around spreading malicious propaganda about Governor Kiraitu’s Government. He urged them to remain focused in support of the Governor, whom he said means well for the County.

The Chief of Staff was also accompanied at the event, by Igembe Central Sub County Admin Juliana Mugure, Igembe North Sub County Admin Joseph Mutharimi, Imenti North Sub County Admin Anderson Kathendu, Liquor Board Director of Enforcement Akubu Gitonga among other top County Government officials.
