MERU COUNTY AND MT. KENYA IS SOLIDLY BEHIND PRESIDENT KENYATTA,SAYS GVN KIRAITU.

Governor Kiraitu Murungi has said that his administration will continue to create conducive environment for spiritual and moral growth of the Meru people, even as he endeavors to achieve his vision of Making Meru Great.
The Governor noted that the Church has a big role to play in helping people to put meaning in their lives, saying that the current society is lacking truth as a moral value.
Speaking at St John’s A.I.P.C.A. Kiithe in South Imenti during the National Holy Oil consecration ceremony, governor Kiraitu pointed out that there is need for Christians to speak the truth and avoid unnecessary propaganda, lies and falsehoods which have been seen even in churches.
"I want to urge the Church to continue praying and guiding our people against the doctrines of falsehoods and misinformation, and work to create a conducive environment for moral and spiritual growth. We have noted with concern, the development of a trend where our society is slipping into idolizing of falsehood and misleading information, some of which is, unfortunately, being spread by false prophets who have given themselves titles of bishops," he added.
On national politics, Governor Kiraitu said that Mount Kenya is currently being led by H.E. President Uhuru Kenyatta who is also the leader of Jubilee Party and they are fully supporting him.
He noted that for now they are only focusing on development and uniting Kenyans and when the time for politics comes, they will give direction and their political stand of the region, through their leader, President Kenyatta.
On his part archbishop Julius Njoroge of AIPCA urged Christians across the County to embrace peace during this Easter holiday and asked all the Christians to pray for the country and the leaders.
Archbishop Njoroge also noted that his church is fully supporting the ongoing Huduma Number registration exercise and urged Kenyans to embrace the exercise by turning out in large numbers to register.
