COUNTY GOVERNMENT TO IMPROVE EDUCATION STANDARDS.

Deputy Governor Hon Titus Ntuchiu has said that the County Government will continue to work towards improving the quality of education in the County.

Speaking at Mwithanga Primary School, Tigania west Sub County, where he joined the Rotary Club of Nkubu as they donated books to the school, the Deputy Governor noted that the County Government has formed the Meru County Education Board to sphered education programs and deliberate on how to improve education standards in the County.

He said that Meru County is not doing well on education and therefore urged all the stakeholders to come together and come up with ideas that will not only help to improve the standards but also boost education in the County.

The DG added that the County Government will continue to deliver the promises it gave to meru residents.

"we will be doing more work and talk less, therefore we don’t have time to respond to our critics since the time for politics is over, we already have 100 boreholes that are visible, construction of ECDE classes and dispensaries are ongoing in various wards across the county," Ntuchiu noted.

Nkomo ward MCA Mr. John kithinji, urged meru residents to avoid cheap politics on auditor’s report and give the Public Account and Investment Committee in the County Assembly time to go through the report and give its recommendations.

Mr. kithinhji said that once the relevant committee give its recommendation, the County Assembly will go through it and if any clarification they will sermon the relevant officers to shed more light.

President of Nkubu rotary club Mr. Kinoti GK on his part noted that the work to make meru great is not for the Governor only but for all merians. He said that the private sector will continue to support the County Government in it projects.
