Meru county staff have been trained on the Intergrated Health Human Resources Management System (IHRS). The software is meant to manage Human Resource issue in health sector including deployment, replacement of retirees, promotion, their work stations and hiring of staff based on needs.

Speaking during the training, Mr. Simon Rukwaro , Head of community health strategy , said " We are committed to ensuring better management of our Human Resources better to ensure equity".

The county is committed to ensure better service delivery through ensuring a motivated and committed work force as well as intending to identify gaps in staff deficiency to ensure all types of specialists in health are adequately hired.
