COUNTIES AGRICULTURE GETS A BOOST AS COG ADOPTS FAO's DATA REVOLUTION PROGRAM.

Governor Kiraitu alongside other Governors have signed the "County That Counts" Data Revolution in Agriculture, for Kenya, that will help collect data of the farmers and their produce.
Wycliffe Oparanya, the Council's Chair, was optimistic that the program will help the counties in planning and executing the agricultural agenda.
Speaking while launching the program, Kenya FAO Representative, Dr. Rugalema highlighted that the world's agriculture is in its fourth revolution of data, hence worth embracing.
Kenya specifically, he said the program will be a key component in resolving data conundrums in agriculture and consequently transform Kenya's food security, one of the 'Big Four Agenda'
The program's end result is to aid the farmers in credit management, draw food security information, offer best extension services as well as promote conservation agriculture.
