CHURCH PARTNERS WITH COUNTY GOVERNMENT FOR ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS AND SENSITIZATION

Governor Kiraitu Murungi led County Government officials as they joined members of World Harvest Church Nkubu for an Environmental Awareness, Sensitization and Clean up exercise for Nkubu town. The Governor thanked the leader of World Harvest Church Nkubu, Bishop Western for the initiative and challenged other faith based groups to emulate the example by encouraging their members to keep the environment and towns green and clean.
The Governor said that the exercised underscores the importance of partnerships with the Church, residents and private entities in ensuring a clean and safe environment for to live, commune and do business. He said that environmental hygiene is a collective responsibility for residents, business community and the church. He added that this contributes to his administration’s vision to ensure a clean and green Meru County.
The Governor was accompanied by Chief of Staff Hon. Gideon Kimathi, Chief Officer Environment Kinoti Mwebia, MCA Abogeta West Ward Hon. Dmk Kiogora,Nkuene Ward MCA Hon. Martin Makasi.
