MERU FIRE AND RESCUE TEAM ADVANCE IN ROPE RESCUE

The County Government in collaboration with the PCPM- Polish Center for International Aid from Poland, has been training the County Fire and Rescue Team on the best rescue services.
The 5 day training led by Mr. Piotr RAK began on Monday 19th to 23rd November, with a deep focus on the Rope Rescue Services.
Mr. Piotr, said the objective of this training was to increase rescue services experience especially in rescuing casualties who happen to fall victims of landslides, those who fall in pits or boreholes, using rope rescue equipment.
Joseph Njoroge, Meru rescue team chief, thanked Mr. Piotr for devoting himself to train his group on how to save lives using ropes rescue equipment. He added that good results have been realized since the start of the exercise.
"We want to advance our rescue services. With this, our team comprising of fire fighters from Meru headquarters, Nkubu and Maua Fire and Rescue Sub-stations has undergone a training on Rope Rescue." Said Mr. Njoroge. This well help improves our services to the community.
Njoroge was speaking at Kathita Bridge where the team climaxed its training.
