We Will Work With All Leaders Kiraitu
Governor Kiraitu Murungi led a consultative meeting with County Assembly leadership led by the speaker Mr Kaberia Arimba and Chairpersons of various Assembly Committees.
Governor Kiraitu said the meeting was meant to promote the culture of cooperation and consultation as enshrined in the constitution. He added that the meeting was to review the implementation of various development projects across all wards.
"We have achieved 70 per cent completion of all county government projects," said the Governor. He also thanked the County Assembly for good utilization of Ward Development Fund in which Members of County Assembly are patrons
The Governor added during the review that 95 out of 100 boreholes were successfully sunk in the past year alone. He stated that the school milk project has increased enrollment in schools in ECDE from 50 per cent to 73 per cent. The Governor affirmed that he is keen on ensuring distribution of title deeds to ensure residents have ownership documents for their land.
County Assembly speaker, Mr Kaberia said these consultative meetings will be held quarterly for a better working relationship between the Executive and the assembly.
