MERU GENERAL HOSPITAL RECEIVES A DRUG CONSIGNMENT WORTH KSH.60.3 MILLION
Kenya Medical Supplies Authority (KEMSA) delivered a drug consignment worth 60.3 Million to Meru level (V) Hospital for this quarter extending to the first quarter of the 2018/2019 financial year. THE CEC Health, Ms Eunice Nkirote and her Chief officer Dr Kanana Kimonye led the Hospital Management in receiving the drug consignment. The CEC Ms Eunice Nkirote said that Governor Kiraitu is committed to ensuring a sustained continuity inadequate and quality drug supply through its partnership with the KEMSA and that his promise to ensure good health for our people remains a priority to his administration. Ms Eunice Nkirote also mentioned that the Level IV Hospitals would be receiving their supply next for dispensaries and health centres already received their supply. Sounding a stern warning against mishandling of the drugs, Ms Nkirote has called for a collective responsibility in guarding the drugs. She also advised the boards to keep good watch in order to ensure that Meru residents and those beyond, get good health care services they deserve.
