H.E. Governor Rev. Mutuma M’Ethingia, accompanied by H.E. Deputy Governor Lindah Kiome Gitonga, toured Kianjai Ward in Tigania West Sub-County, where they inspected and launched key development initiatives aimed at improving access to clean water, quality healthcare, and other essential services.

During the tour, the Governor visited the Kinoroa Kanamburi Spring, identified as a strategic water source with the potential to supply clean and reliable water to more households in the area. Reaffirming his administration's commitment to expanding access to safe water, Governor Mutuma directed the relevant county departments to undertake the necessary planning and develop the required infrastructure to fully harness the spring for the benefit of the surrounding communities.

The Governor also commissioned a newly constructed laboratory at Mituntu Health Centre and presided over the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (MNCH) Unit funded by the M-PESA Foundation. Upon completion and full equipping, the facility will enhance access to essential healthcare services, improve maternal and child health outcomes, and strengthen healthcare delivery for residents of Kianjai Ward and the surrounding areas.

During the visit, Governor Mutuma engaged residents on their development priorities and reaffirmed his administration's commitment to addressing local challenges through sustained investments in water, healthcare, and other critical sectors.

The tour highlighted the County Government's continued focus on expanding access to essential services, improving livelihoods, and building a healthier and more prosperous Meru County for all residents.
