Meru CAIP At 97% Completion: Deputy Governor Leads Delegation In Inspection.

The Deputy Governor, H.E. Linda Gakii Kiome, on behalf of H.E. Hon. Rev. Mutuma M’Ethingia, received a delegation from the State Department for Industry led by Joseph Mbeva, Director of Industries.

After the meeting, the Deputy Governor together with the delegation conducted a field inspection of the Meru County Aggregation and Industrial Park (CAIP) located in Ruiri-Rwareera Ward. The facility represents a major step by the County Government of Meru towards strengthening agricultural value chains, promoting value addition, and eliminating middlemen so that farmers can fully benefit from their hard work.

She appealed to the people of Meru to seize the opportunities that will come with the commissioning of the County Aggregation and Industrial Parks (CAIPs), noting that the project is already 97% complete and poised to transform the county’s economy.

Also present during the inspection were the Chief of Staff, Dr. Julius Mbijiwe; the CECM Trade, Tourism and Cooperatives, Rev. Carol Kaberia; and the CECM Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, Jenaro Gatangugi.
