H.E GOVERNOR REV. MUTUMA M'ETHINGIA UNDERTAKES KEY DEVELOPMENTAL TOUR IN BUURI SUB COUNTY.

On Monday, 30th June 2025, Meru County Governor H.E. Rev. Mutuma M’Ethingia and Deputy governor H.E Hon. Lindah Kiome conducted a high-impact developmental tour of Buuri Sub-County, accompanied by Kisima Ward MCA Hon. Patrick Mutuma. The tour was aimed at engaging with residents, inspecting ongoing projects, and addressing pressing community concerns.

The day began with a visit to Ngusishi Christian Centre in Maritati, where the Governor held a community engagement forum to gain firsthand insight into local challenges. Among the top concerns raised were infrastructure gaps, water scarcity, and environmental degradation. In response, the Governor highlighted current projects that are already addressing these issues; including borehole drilling and equipping, roads grading and gravelling, and comprehensive drainage works. Notably, the administration is also planning the construction of a dam in the surrounding forest, which is expected to greatly improve water supply for area residents.

The Governor’s tour proceeded to Kamiti Village in Ntirimiti Location, where he oversaw the issuance of 892 water pipes for the KKK Water Project, signaling a major milestone in boosting water access. He further pledged additional support in the form of a pressure carwash machine, a water storage tank, and the installation of a floodlight to enhance local security and economic activity.

Governor M’Ethingia also conducted a site visit to the Ngare Ndare Dispensary, inspecting the newly completed Maternity Wing, which is now ready for equipping. Emphasizing his commitment to quality healthcare, he noted the need for improved infrastructure, including better road access to the facility, which will be prioritized.

A key highlight of the visit was the firm stance taken on land protection and community boundaries. The Governor made it clear that Ngare Ndare’s boundaries are non-negotiable, warning against any encroachment on community land. He called for the expedited processing of pending title deeds and the restoration of rightful land boundaries through legal surveys, affirming that his administration is dedicated to safeguarding property rights and promoting justice for all landowners.

This comprehensive tour reflects Governor M’Ethingia’s hands-on leadership style and his administration’s unwavering resolve to address real community needs through practical, people-centered development.
