UNLOCKING MERU COUNTY ECONOMIC POTENTIAL.
Aligned with Governor H.E. Hon. Rev. Isaac Mutuma M’Ethingia’s vision to drive investment and unlock Meru County’s economic potential, day two of the economic seminar focused on advancing sustainable development.
Tourism took center stage, with discussions on positioning Meru as a top destination for wildlife, culture, agrotourism, and adventure travel. An action plan for tourism, astrotourism, and film tourism was created to guide implementation.
Other sectors discussed included infrastructure, renewable energy, real estate, healthcare, ICT, and transport. Dr. Kaumbuthu shared innovative strategies to boost healthcare and attract private investment.
Edward Kobia, Managing Director of the Meru County Investment and Development Corporation (MCIDC), emphasized structured investment, public-private partnerships, and long-term value creation. An integrated infrastructure plan with clear priorities and deadlines was developed.
CECM Rev. Carol Kaberia’s presence underscored the county’s commitment to growth and investment.
