MERU COUNTY GOVERNOR H.E. HON. REV. ISAAC MUTUMA M'ETHINGIA INAUGURATED AS THE RED CROSS PATRON IN LANDMARK HONOR

In a significant milestone for humanitarian efforts in the county, Meru Governor H.E Hon. Rev. Isaac Mutuma M'Ethingia was officially named the Patron of the Kenya Red Cross Society - Meru Branch during a brief ceremony held at the Governor’s office on Friday morning.

The event, attended by top county officials and Red Cross representatives, marked a renewed commitment to strengthening disaster response, health initiatives, and humanitarian services in Meru County.

Speaking during the ceremony, the Governor expressed gratitude for the recognition and pledged continued support for Red Cross activities within the county.

"This is not just a title; it is a call to action. As a county, we remain committed to working hand in hand with the Kenya Red Cross to ensure timely response to emergencies and the well-being of our people," the Governor said.

The Kenya Red Cross team, led by the Meru branch chairperson Mr. Mark Davis Munene, lauded the Governor’s consistent support and involvement in humanitarian programs, noting that the appointment was both symbolic and strategic in enhancing coordination between the county and the society.

The new partnership is expected to boost resource mobilization, awareness campaigns, and emergency preparedness across Meru’s communities.
