Meru governor H.E. Hon. Rev. Mutuma M'Ethingia appeared before the County Public Investments and Special Funds Committee to review investment reports and the Auditor General’s findings for the 2023/2024 financial year. The reports covered the following: Meru Water and Sewerage Services Company Ltd. (MEWASS), Meru County Rural Water and Sanitation Services Company (MeRuWASCO), Meru Teaching and Referral Hospital, as well as the Municipalities of Meru, Maua, and Timau.

During the meeting,several key issues were addressed,and reached consensus on a number of recommendations in line with Senate guidelines. Furthermore, it was agreed that Meru, Maua, and Timau municipalities should work toward full autonomy, enabling them to manage their daily operations more efficiently and sustainably.

Hon. Mutuma M'Ethingia's administration is fully committed to working collaboratively with all arms of government, agencies and departments to ensure strict compliance with established guidelines and to promote efficient, effective service delivery for the people of Meru.
