GOVERNOR MUTUMA M'ETHINGIA LEADS LANDMARK POLISH PARTNERSHIP TO EMPOWER MERU YOUTH AND FARMERS.
The County Government of Meru under the leadership of H.E Governor Hon.Rev. Mutuma M'Ethingia has secured a landmark partnership with Polish investors aimed at empowering the youth, expanding vocational training, and boosting agricultural exports. The agreement includes the establishment of three state-of-the-art vocational training centers in Imenti, Igembe, and Tigania. These centers will focus on practical skill development in welding, professional driving, and painting-fields identified as key to creating sustainable employment opportunities for the region's young population.
The partnership is also expected to open new export channels for Meru’s coffee farmers, particularly into European markets. By facilitating access to international buyers, the initiative aims to raise local incomes and strengthen the county’s agricultural economy.
Inline with the governor's manifesto on education technology and hands-on training, the Meru County government is positioning itself as a catalyst for practical, high-impact development. Officials say the initiative reflects a broader commitment to actionable solutions that generate jobs and drive long-term growth, transforming Meru into a hub of innovation and opportunity.
