Residents Of Mjini, Salama, And Majengo Receive Facilitation Under KISIP II
Chief of Staff Dr. Julius Mbijiwe, representing H.E. Governor Rev. Mutuma M’Ethingia, met with residents of Mjini, Salama, and Majengo to preside over the facilitation process for individuals affected by road construction works under the World Bank-funded Kenya Informal Settlements Improvement Project Phase II (KISIP II).
The facilitation marks a significant milestone in the project's implementation and underscores the government’s ongoing commitment to ensuring fair and dignified treatment of all communities impacted by infrastructure development.
In his remarks, Dr. Mbijiwe thanked the residents for their patience, resilience, and cooperation throughout the relocation process. He reaffirmed the county government’s dedication to inclusive development that leaves no one behind.
The residents expressed their deep appreciation to H.E. Governor Rev. Mutuma M’Ethingia for his timely intervention and steadfast support in addressing their concerns, which has ensured a smooth and just facilitation process.
Also present at the event were CECM for Lands, Physical Planning, Urban Development, Housing and Public Works Hon. Monica Kathono, Ntima West MCA Hon. Patrick Ntururu, and Director of Lands Administration Mr. Haron Mbai.
