H.E. Rev. Governor Mutuma M'Ethingia has expressed His deep sorrow and frustration over the tragic loss of three NPR officers who were brutally killed by criminals in Igembe North. Speaking with heartfelt condolences, He extended His sympathy to the families affected by this senseless attack and honored the memory of the fallen officers-brave heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice in defending the people and ensuring the territorial integrity of the county. Governor Mutuma M'Ethingia visited the Inspector General of Police today, where he received an assurance that senior security officers, alongside the regional police commander, are already on the ground working tirelessly to track down the criminals and their accomplices. The IG also informed him that Hon. TJ had reported the incident to him last night. In his address, Governor Mutuma M'Ethingia vowed that He would not rest until the people of Meru are at peace and their resources are safe from criminals. He declared that the criminals responsible for these heinous acts will be brought to justice-dead or alive-and that no apologies would be made in the pursuit of justice. The Governor also confirmed that the vetting process for the County Armed Rangers, conducted by the County Security Team, is nearing completion. Soon, officers will be deployed to the affected areas of Meru to restore peace and security. Additionally, Governor Mutuma M'Ethingia announced plans to initiate discussions with the Governors of Samburu, Turkana, and Isiolo.
