This evening, H.E Hon. Bsp. Kawira Mwangaza has commissioned the drilling of a borehole adjacent to Machaka social hall in Kibirichia Ward while accompanied by her Deputy Hon. Rev. Mutuma M'Ethingia.
The people of Machaka have been languishing due to water scarcity. They have also been unsuccessfully requesting a borehole for decades. As promised, Governor Kawira is committed to permanently ending water shortage in every corner of Meru county.
Further, the government is in advanced stages of establishing a mega dam at Baicigiria in Buuri. This water will sustain domestic use and agricultural practices for thousands of families.
After consultations with H.E President Dr. William Ruto, the people of Meru will benefit from an affordable housing project that will be constructed in Machaka.
Also present was Kibirichia Ward MCA Hon Jacob Mwirigi.
