Meru Governor Hon. Bishop Kawira Mwangaza has this afternoon launched a beautification project that will unclog and permanently cover all the open gutters within Meru town.

Before the launch, Governor Kawira personally inspected the drainage systems which have been the cause of numerous complaints from members of the public. The governor promised to ensure that the contractors will install durable and permanent drainage covers. This she said, will prevent damage to property, human accidents and loss of revenue due to inaccessibility of parking spaces.

Further, Governor Kawira has promised that her administration will continuously uphold peace and ensure presence of a conducive environment to conduct business in Meru town and other satellite towns in the county.
