Addressing the medical professionals at the county headquarters, Governor Kawira expressed her commitment to embrace strong partnerships that will help better effect her manifesto promise on sustainable health services provision.
She added, her administration is also set to receive another consignment of equipment worth about Ksh. 30 million, in due course. This, she said would be a key stride towards ensuring that every Subcounty (Level 4) Hospital has a Eye Clinic, taking care of over 60 percent of the eye related cases across the county.
According to the Governor, the Community Health Volunteers are very instrumental in combating the eye diseases, stating that they will soon be equipped to help in early detection of eye related problems in schools and at remote areas, using a mobile application dubbed "Peek Technology"
