His Excellency Hon. Rev. Isaac Mutuma M'Ethingia is a distinguished public servant currently serving as the Deputy Governor of Meru County. In collaboration with the esteemed Governor of Meru County, H.E. Bishop Kawira Mwangaza, they were elected as independent candidates, demonstrating their commitment to effective governance.

With an extensive background in public service, Hon. Rev. M'Ethingia brings a wealth of experience to his role. He was a Senior Officer in Kenya Prisons Service where he exhibited strong leadership skills and a commitment to upholding the law. In addition, he served as a Reverend in the Methodist Churches of Kenya, exemplifying his dedication to spiritual and community development.

Throughout his career, Hon. M'Ethingia has held various leadership positions and contributed significantly to the betterment of his community. Notably, he served as a Child Rights Advocate with Plan International, Chairman of several esteemed Institutions, Youth Representative for Habitat for Humanity in the Mount Kenya Region, and Human Rights Officer and Inmate Rehabilitation Program Implementer within the prison services. His diverse range of responsibilities showcases his versatility and capacity for impactful change. Hon. Rev. M'Ethingia's leadership skills were nurtured by his late father, who served as the Chairman of both the Meru and Kenya Council of Elders for many years.

Hon. Rev. M'Ethingia's educational achievements further demonstrate his commitment to professional growth. He holds a Higher Diploma in Forensic Psychology and Criminology from the Kenya Institute of Studies in Criminal Justice, as well as a Bachelor's Degree in Theology from Kenya Methodist University. Currently, he is pursuing a Master's Degree in Governance and Ethics at Mount Kenya University, to further enhance his expertise in public administration and ethical governance.

Recognized for his belief in women's leadership, Hon. M'Ethingia actively supports women's empowerment in a patriarchal community. His inclusive approach promotes diversity and gender equality, fostering a more equitable society.

As Deputy Governor, Hon. M'Ethingia is dedicated to the realization of Hon. Governor Kawira Mwangaza’s Manifesto, which encompasses various critical areas including; efficient service delivery to the residents of Meru County, meticulous economic planning, responsible management of natural resources, environmental conservation, climate justice, provision of quality water and education for all, promotion of science and technology, effective physical planning in urban and rural areas, infrastructure development, food security, youth and women empowerment, investment promotion, industrialization, and transformation of medical and public health services.
