delegation from Migori county embarked on a 2 day benchmarking tour on sweet potato value addition chain and the strong cooperative movement in Meru. The mission hopes to implement the same in Migori.

Chief Officer Agriculture Migori, Mr. Elijah Muita, said that the success story in sweet potato value addition chain in Meru has made them find the need to choose the county as their destination of choice. Director Cooperative, Daudi Obado said the mission was informed by Maua Friends Sacco where there's production of sweet potato products like bread, buns and flour and also learn on organization of cooperatives movement in the county.

The team visited Kaguru Training Center and Maua Friends Sacco, a sweet potato bakery firm. Meru has seen influx of guests from far and wide ready to learn various strides in which the county is leading in.
