The County Government has today released the higher education bursary fund cheques worth Ksh. 57 million.

This adds to Sh.103 million both for the Retention and Enhancement as well as scholarship funds for high school released a few months ago, for Financial year 2017/2018, summing up to Ksh. 160 Million.

Speaking during the event, Governor Kiraitu and his Deputy. Hon. Titus Ntuchiu praised the students patience and understanding, in that the delays arose with the Controller of Budget and not their administration.

The Governor appealed to the Members of County Assembly to carefully consider the guidelines given by respective County Executive Member, to avoid inconveniencing the students, in a statement echoed by his deputy who asked the leaders to be always open to the public and not telling lies.
