Governor Peter Munya today commissioned Kithongo and Kalimbene borehole water projects in Igembe Central sub - county.
Speaking after commissioning the Kalimbene water project ,Governor Munya reaffirmed his government commitment to ensure all the residents have access to clean water.
"The residents have been experiencing chronic water shortage for many years, therefore, these projects will bring relief to them'' he said.

Other speakers who included the CEC in charge of Mary Mwiti said the government has made significant strides in effort to fulfill its election pledges.
Local leaders who spoke at the event commended the government, saying the projects will serve the people who had lived without clean water since independence.
Governor Munya promised similar projects would be undertaken in other areas to solve perennial water problems across the county.
