The Meru County Government Cabinet has approved decisive actions aimed at improving the lives and livelihoods of our people.
Relief food distribution will commence immediately to support vulnerable households. The Governor’s Cup football tournament now heads to the quarter-final stage as youth engagement continues to gain momentum. The Cabinet has also approved KSh 5 million for PWD Saccos and KSh 24 million in seed capital for women’s groups to strengthen economic empowerment.
Construction of the Children’s Safe House at Maili Tatu is progressing well, while the CAIPS system is now ready for launch to enhance county service delivery.
Efforts to safeguard the miraa market in Nairobi are advancing through the ongoing Nairobi satellite market land transfer, while the Meru Kiwanja Livestock Market will now operate every Monday and Friday to support livestock traders and farmers.
The Cabinet has further approved ECDE teacher employment and promotions, reinforcing the county’s commitment to quality early childhood education.
