On behalf of H.E. Hon. Rev. Mutuma M’Ethingia, H.E. the Deputy Governor, Hon. Lindah Kiome Gitonga, commissioned the distribution of 4,444 improved indigenous chickens to 28 farmer groups at Kimirii Chief’s Camp in Tigania West.

Beneficiary farmers underwent comprehensive training on proper poultry husbandry, routine vaccination, and disease prevention and control to ensure sustainable production.

Poultry farming remains a critical source of household livelihood, providing quick income opportunities and improved protein nutrition for families. Under the leadership of H.E. Governor Mutuma M’Ethingia, the County Government continues to prioritize the empowerment of youth, women, men, and persons living with disabilities through targeted agricultural support programmes.

The Deputy Governor was accompanied by the CECM for Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, Hon. Janaro Gatangugi, and Mbeu Ward MCA, Hon. John Muguna.
